The PullRite # 2300 ISR Series Heavy Duty SuperGlide is designed for towing those bigger rigs! With a gross trailer weight of 24K, this industry standard rail SuperGlide out-performs other foreign-made hitches of the same class. With beefier components to accommodate heavier loads, the 18” of travel quickly and easily moves your trailer away from your cab during turns and backing up with ease! When truck manufacturers decided to expand popular trucks’ cab space and decreased the cab-to-axle distance in the bed, 5th wheel hitches that were originally designed to give you a 90° turn with an 8 ft. bed truck couldn’t be used in the new short bed trucks. SuperGlide is a solution to safety and efficiently regain that 90° turning capability. It’s fully automatic, so there’s no getting in and out of your truck to throw levers before and after turns like you have to do with other manual slide hitches. SuperGlide is easy to remove without the need for tools. By easily removing the 40 lb. hitch head that is held in place with a couple of pins and clips, the remaining base is relatively lightweight. If you already have a truck with industry standard type rails, you can easily replace your old 5th wheel hitch with a SuperGlide ISR, but remember your tow package is only as strong as its “weakest link.” If you put a 24K hitch in your truck on a 16K rail system, you can only safely tow a 16K trailer. By swapping out your old 5th wheel hitch for a SuperGlide, with its fore-to-aft adjustable base feet, you can center your pivot point over the axle where it belongs for the best right possible with no bumping, chucking, or sway. Most 5th wheels on the market today overlook this critical positioning over the axle and are mounted ahead of it. If you’re starting fresh, PullRite has several mounting systems to choose from (sold separately): universal heavy duty “L” brackets and ISR HD Base Rails; custom heavy duty mounting brackets and ISR HD Base Rails.
